Dogs, flowers and yarn

It's been in the high nineties for several days here in Middle Tennessee. On top of the temperature, living out in the woods makes for very high humidity. We wake up every morning to all the windows having been steamed up. It's too miserable to do much of anything outside except in the early morning. This morning, I took a little time to have some quiet time with God. Then I briefly strolled by a couple of flower beds as the dogs chased a squirrel or two.

A face only a mother could love:

We have had some very brave deer visiting us lately. They have been coming up to the front porch and feasting on my lilies. Two mornings ago, a doe and her triplets (tiny things - still had their spots) walked right past our front windows. Here are some of the lilies that the deer did not eat:

As for knitting and yarny goodness, I'm still working away at Bianca. I have the back and the sleeves done and started one of the front pieces last night.

I'm ready to have Bianca done, because she has a sister waiting in the wings:<

The yarn for this is not as orange as it appears. It's more of a pinky-coral color. Very summery!
Enough for now. Enjoy the sunshine and try to stay cool!
